As the practice administrator, I am responsible for hiring, onboarding and training staff, researching and implementing streamlined processes for daily operations, process payroll and issue vendor payments, triage unsatisfied patients, vendors and staff as well as support daily operations and patient flow by stepping when and where I’m needed.

As the CFO, I have designed and administrate the accounting process for the company, optimizing and presenting financial data for my company. I have researched and implemented payroll processing and staff benefits, organized accounts payable for both vendors and patients, audit monthly billing for accuracy, set up QUICKBOOKS to produce data relevant to ongoing financial and staffing considerations while organizing revenue streams based on methods of payment.

Prepare and submit claims to major medical and vision insurance for prompt payment, evaluate and manage claim denials or errors, post payments for eyecare and eyewear, manage retail vs. contract allowance for COGS.

Design print, digital and internet marketing materials including business cards, social media advertisements, brochures, posters and patient education materials. Network with local Chambers of Commerce, non-profit organizations, optical industry professionals, referring doctors, schools, friends and family. I’ve designed and hosted over 30 events at SeePort, introducing the practice to try community by welcoming them in. I designed a program for both marketing and community assistance with my Restore Clarity program, which has provided many eye exams and glasses to patients needing clarity restored to their life.

Dr. Hicks and Annie started SeePort as a completely cold open in 2009 with 0 patients and 0 experience in private practice. SeePort Optometry (seeportoptometry.com) has since grown into an incredibly successful and well respected practice in North Port, offering both medical and refractive services. The optical gallery is filled with every day eyewear as well as custom made frames. Our Practice has adapted with proprietary patient engagement that has led the practice to greater patient satisfaction, consistent growth and a pleasant work environment.

The Seelution Group is a new company designed to assist other Eye Care Professionals in private practice. After 12 years of building SeePort Optometry in North Port, Florida, I would consider myself knowledgeable and innovative in my field.
