Be the Business is a non profit with a mission to drive up productivity amongst small businesses across the UK. As Senior Project Manager I lead a three year programme in partnership with Mastercard to support ethnic minority led businesses with free tailored business support. I also manage our Advisory Boards programme from service user design and product development to overseeing partnerships and delivery.

The Leadership and Management team support small businesses in the UK with a portfolio of programmes aimed at matching them to senior leaders from a range of backgrounds who provide external support and expert insight. As programme manager I was responsible for service design, launching a new SaaS platform for one of our programmes, managing cross functional teams, standardising processes between teams, and budget oversight.

The Networks and Innovation team designed and tested out a series of pilot programmes and interventions across the country to identify the most impactful types of support for small businesses. I was responsible for managing the delivery of a range of pilot programmes, managing partnerships and designing new programmes. I designed and piloted a short interactive course on ED&I for small businesses and supported the development of a series of masterclasses, advisory boards and peer learning groups.

Feeding Britain is a non profit with a mission to end food poverty in the UK. Started by the APPG on Hunger, the charity worked with local networks across the country to deliver practical short to medium term support on the ground, while campaigning for systemic changes in Government. As interim CEO I was responsible for overall charity governance, strategy, strategic partnerships, media and government engagement, and led a team of 8 employees spearheading innovative projects like citizens supermarkets, fuel banks, and food bank advice services.

As Network Manager at Feeding Britain I was responsbile for growing and managing the charity's network of food poverty alliances across the country. In my first year I grew the network from 3 to 13 formalised networks and supported the development of local strategies, joint national campaigns, and funding for innovative local projects. Together we won a commitment from government to fund a multi million pound holiday school meals programme, raised £45,000 in a crowdfunder to establish a fuel bank in rural areas, and secured £3+ million from funders like Big Lottery, Esmee Fairbairn, the GLA and Barrow Cadbury to deliver a range of support for people experiencing food poverty.

World Fisheries Trust is a Canadian not for profit bridging the divide between technical solutions and societal realities to promote the sustainable use and conservation of aquatic biodiversity. I was contracted for six months to develop the organisations communications strategies and to rebrand one of their central programmes. I also conducted a business case for different charging models to secure the sustainability of the programme.
