I lead a team of environmental scientists and engineers with expertise in air quality, limnology, hydrology, fisheries and wildlife biology to inform responsible energy development decisions in oil sands mining, in situ, conventional oil, natural gas, and coal development in Alberta. As a Water Approvals Specialist, I reviewed, coordinated, and project managed Water Act applications to ensure fulfillment of legislative requirements and government policy. Applications span multiple sectors including municipal, agricultural, and energy development including wetland disturbance and restoration, stormwater management, channel-realignment, fish habitat enhancement, erosion and sedimentation control, aquatic vegetation removal, and geotechnical investigations.

I assessed and project managed the review of over 3000 backlogged Water Act applications in southern Alberta subsequent to results of the Auditor General's Report. I led a team that investigated the cause of the backlogged applications, ultimately delivering a recommendations report for department executives to enable timely application reviews in the future.
