Started off as a part-timer consulting on content strategy and writing blog articles for them, but I liked the team and product so much I joined them full time. I managed the Pigeonhole Live content strategy, blog, social media channels, partnerships, and more.

Tried to take a mental health break to recover from burnout, but somehow continued working! I worked with startups on content strategy, and with Tech in Asia and WithContent to write website copy, blogposts, case studies, and news articles. I also tried to write a novel during this time, but stopped short at 15,000 words! Maybe one day.

Advised on marketing and branding strategy, crafted content marketing calendar to be executed.

Spent an amazing two years in Tech in Asia’s Branded Content team, and learned a lot about writing great content, working with clients from Indonesia, Malaysia, India, India, and Japan. Being in an agency housed within a publication is interesting. It was excited to witness and be part of sponsored content’s shift from being thought of as just.

+ Collaborated with clients in the tech and startup ecosystem such as DBS, Baidu, Braintree, MaGIC, and LINE to create content to meet their branded content objectives+ Wrote features, profiles, and trend pieces on topics like fintech, adtech, insurtech, and ecommerce.+ Managed a creative team to execute several content inventories, including articles.

Being a freelancer is tough work! Wrote constantly from several libraries and cafes, drank many cups of coffee, and got pretty lonely. I got to explore a wider variety of topics, including consumer tech, lifestyle, and parenting.

Perth, Australia

Ran away to Australia to try my hand at arts reviewing with Buzzcuts, a volunteer review programme. Attended and wrote reviews on the events at the Fringe World Festival 2016 in Perth, which were then published on Buzzcuts and syndicated onto The Western Australian's Yahoo! page. It was fun, I got free tickets to watch many shows and learn how to dance.

Asked a media contact out for coffee to find out how to become a journalist like him, and he offered me a job! Proof that being bold pays off. Hours of editing and writing full-time from my bedroom (eventually moving into an actual office), deep-diving into social media trends, consumer tech products, and opinion pieces. My favourite part was meeting.

Attended an intern-matching event at The Hub, and got my first internship in a PR firm. It was only supposed to last for 3 months, but I enjoyed it so much that I took a semester off to do it for another 6 months!
