Manager, Communications & Marketing
Marketing Manager
I was the first Marketer hired at Groundswell Cloud Solutions, and had the privilege of mapping out the company’s marketing priorities, conducting a full brand refresh, and building out Groundswell’s marketing team. During my time there, I collaborated with designers and key stakeholders to systematically build out the new Groundswell brand in less than 6 months. This foundational work included leading content and design audits, conducting team workshops, facilitating user interviews, and providing creative direction to produce the company’s first-ever brand strategy, voice/tone guide, and visual identity system. From there, the refreshed brand components were applied in a series of template systems and evergreen content, on various marketing/sales campaigns, and in all internal initiatives. I was also responsible for the development and execution of company-wide brand training for over 75 staff members. In addition to brand-specific work, I also served as the project lead for Groundswell’s 2019 Dreamforce campaign, leading the Leadership and Sales teams to create one of the firm's most successful client engagement experiences to date. By developing and optimizing a content creation process, Groundswell’s content/asset production increased exponentially in 2019, resulting in over 40% increased web traffic, along with over 300% increase in pageviews and engagement rates on social media.
Marketing Manager / Deputy Director
In my role as the Marketing Manager, then Deputy Director at Wondershare Technology, I oversaw the marketing efforts for the company's flagship software - Filmora Video Editor, specializing in the North American and European markets. During my time there, I led a large team of dedicated staff (in 2 international offices) to successfully launch 2 back-to-back product releases, achieving over 363,000 software downloads in the first month of product release and an average site conversion rate of 45% (equating to $2.2 million in revenue in one month). During my time there, my team and I were also responsible for the planning, filming and production of the first ever brand commercial for Filmora, including 7 different ad variations for Google/YouTube advertisement. The ads produced an 88% increase in purchase intent, and a lift of 578% in brand interest after a 2-week advertising period. In this role, I led an English-speaking team in Vancouver, as well as a Mandarin Speaking team in Shenzhen, China.
