Hi you! I’m Annika, full-stack web developer with over 10 years of experience from a wide variety of IT-jobs.I started my career in 2012 in the social media office, while studying at the same time. I was coding all kinds of Facebook applications (big thing at that time!) mostly with JavaScript and PHP. I also utilised APIs from multiple social media platforms, e.g. created reports from Facebook advertising data.After graduation, I started working at HeyDay, where I got promoted as a lead developer and partner after 9 months. During five years, I got to do versatile and interesting projects with customers from many different industries. I worked both in traditional projects using different web technologies and also in more creative ones, using for example AI/machine learning and creating virtual reality applications with Unity and Unreal. In my role, I also communicated a lot with customers and participated in projects from sales meetings to planning and implementation stage, all the way to maintenance phase.In 2018 I moved to Oulu and started working in Codemate, first time in my career, as a consultant. I broadened my skills about modern software development and technologies, and worked with multiple large Finnish companies.After two years as a consultant, I wanted to try working in a company, which develops own products, and ended up in OP Financial Group. During my time here, learning new things has been the thing. I have studied new technologies (e.g. Java), testing and test automation (Robot framework, performance testing with DevWeb and LoadRunner), cyber security, agile methodologies, CI/CD etc.Nowadays I’m passionate about quality code, devOps and agile practises. Always looking for new challenges and things to learn, since developing my professional competence is a big priority for me.
