-Supervise and maintain playroom for a variety of patients ages 0-21 by creating and providing developmentally appropriate activities.-Utilize play and expressive therapies to help patients cope with medical procedures and hospitalization in the playroom or at the bedside. -Prioritize safety within the playroom by adapting to the needs of the patients.-Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure that the needs of the child are being met. -Advocate for the emotional and physical needs and rights of the child within the healthcare system. -Train and supervise volunteers and interns, communicating regularly to ensure support and guidance. -Follow proper sterilization and disinfection procedures to prevent the spread of infection. -Uphold confidentiality and respect patient's privacy.

-Create a stimulating environment and engaging lesson plans based on student's developmental needs and personal interest.-Communicate clearly the needs of a child to families based on observations and assessments. Foster and encourage socio-emotional and cognitive development and age-appropriate milestones through play, daily interactions, and lesson plans.-Ensure the health of a child by regularly changing diapers and assisting with potty training, sanitizing each surface regularly throughout the day.-Assist with breaks ensuring that schedule is on time and classes remain in ratio in accordance with state licensure
