I greeted and built relationships with customers, fulfilled a wide variety of customized food and drink orders, executed opening and closing duties, trained new hires, and performed café maintenance and cleaning in compliance with my Ohio Health Department Person in Charge certification.

I educated visitors in replicable gardening and small scale food production techniques, administered seed and plant distribution efforts across the city, and, as the capstone to my experience, constructed an 8,000 word proposal and budget outline for the implementation of sustainability and justice workshops and infrastructure at the Possum Creek Farm site.

In both my roles as Assistant Waterfront Director (Summer 2021) and Waterfront Director (Summer 2022), I trained, certified, and managed two teams of 40 lifeguards in accordance with American Red Cross standards; provided constructive individual feedback; scheduled and led weekly meetings and drills to improve team performance; and researched and selected items worth up to $10,000 to purchase to improve daily operations.
