Annisia currently serves as the Director of Jersey City's Department of Housing, Economic Development and Commerce (HEDC). The Department includes the Divisions of Economic Development, City Planning, Construction Code, Zoning, Community Development, Housing Preservation, Commerce and Affordable Housing. Prior to her appointment as the Director of HEDC, she served as the Director of the Division of City Planning.Annisia has a broad range of experience in the practice of architecture, urban design and urban planning. Her experience includes large scale mixed use projects, waterfront developments, town centers, institutional projects as well as campus master plans and strategic planning projects.Ms. Cialone is a Planner certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), a Professional Planner in the State of NJ(PP) and a LEED Accredited Professional. She graduated from the Cooper Union as well as Harvard's Graduate School of Design. She has served as guest critic at Columbia University, Parsons, New York Institute of Technology, and the Boston Architectural Center. She has sat on panels at APA's National Planning Conference, APA NJ's annual conference, NJ Future's Redevelopment Forum, Waterfront Alliance, as part of the AIA Women in Resiliency series. She has lectured on Redevelopment, Affordable Housing, Equitable Transit Oriented Development and Professional Practice at NYU, NJIT, Cornell University, and the University of Auckland and for ULI and Downtown NJ.
