Within Weir Engineering Services I led the delivery of an end to end comprehensive recruitment service to all levels of managements.The role afforded me the opportunity to assist with the implementation of a new ATS; to utilise recruitment events and fairs to attract candidates and promote employer brand; identify, implement and evaluate effective channels for attracting direct candidates (including the use of Social Media) to build and develop a cost effective candidate pipeline and support the development and continuous improvement of recruitment and selection methods and processes to enable the business to address strategic business objectives, i.e. skills shortages, business growth amongst other duties.

Within my role at The University of Glasgow, I managed the day to day administration of the recruitment procedure for assigned vacancies within Team’s territories whilst ensuring that Team provided a comprehensive, customer focused end to end recruitment service and contribute to the delivery of the service.Duties within this role included utilise, develop and implement alternative sourcing methodologies, including social media; provided advice and guidance on the recruitment and selection to appropriately qualified staff in accordance with Recruitment and Selection policy and Procedures, Home Office and Disclosure Scotland legislation; responsible alongside the Recruitment Manager for UKBA Points Based Immigration System for staff, responsible for solving any problems encountered with the ATS; coordinate budget tracking duties including which include maintaining records to track spend against posts for interview expenses to ensure that excess expenditure can be recharged to departments, maintaining records to track spend against relocation budget.

Working within the Recruitment Team at ScottishPower, I was responsible for managing and offering advice and guidance on internal and external recruitment campaigns and activities in addition to providing support for business recruitment projects.My role required me to advise on current recruitment legislation and support business to ensure day-to-day recruitment and selection is fair and lawful; act as a business expert on terms and conditions of employment for ; work with Head of Resourcing, business senior management, Heads of HR, Senior Consultants, Consultants and other Recruitment team members on recruitment campaigns, providing expertise on recruitment processes and working with the business once an approach to recruitment and selection campaign is agreed to deliver solution; for day-to-day recruitment, act as a business expert on recruitment and selection methodologies, including changing best practice, to provide solutions to enable ScottishPower to attract the right calibre of candidate, including in relation to specialist roles; provide input to and manage, where required, projects related to and reviewing recruitment and selection methods, e.g. Graduates, Apprentices, Direct Sales, Vocational Placements, employment experience etc; administer Ability testing as and when required at assessment centres and on an individual vacancy basis.

Working within Recruitment, responsible for all aspects of the recruitment process from managing vacancies, including advertising and recruitment and arranging interviews through to preparing and issuing contracts of employment for all areas of the business.
