Our Center's belief was that children never should be treated as a number or felt to be grouped into the masses. We strongly believed that caring for a child of any age on a daily basis, that it took flexibility, creativity, and understanding. We also believed very strongly that one has to support the basic layering which is the foundation of learning. Children learn through free and pretend play,through enriched materials and activities that correspond with weekly themes, in small groups and individual times with a certified early childhood educator. We cared for the individual needs of all "Our" children and "Their" parents desires and wishes. It does take a village to raise a Child, and at Our Center, we recognized it and embraced it. It saddens us deeply that we closed our doors this past October and will miss the children, parents and staff very much.
