Responsibilities included:- Design, development and implementation of the PortTech brand strategy with deliverables including the organization identity system, website and print collateral- Creation and implementation of the organization's marketing strategy including social media, community outreach and events- Strategic advisor to early stage industrial tech companies focused on energy, environment, transportation and safety/security- Fundraising activities including grant research/writing and sponsorship developmentKey successes:- Achieved global awareness of the PortTech brand - Transformed the annual PortTechEXPO from a minor local conference, to a global exposition featuring tech demonstrations, panel discussions with world port leaders and networking opportunities for more than 800 industry leaders and 200 high school and university students- Built a focused, thriving social media presence to engage port/maritime and technology professionals worldwide- Implemented a student outreach program focused on engaging area high school students interested in careers in STEM and advanced manufacturing- Advised early stage technology companies on business and marketing strategy- Implemented a social media campaign (video, outreach, crowd voting) that resulted in a $100k private foundation grant.PortTech Los Angeles is a commercialization center and incubation program dedicated to creating sustainable technologies for ports and beyond. We bring together entrepreneurs, strategic partners and investors to accelerate innovation, advance clean technologies and create economic opportunities. We promote and support the development of technologies that enable enterprises to meet their environmental, energy, safety/security and transportation goals.
