I learned at a very early age that the way to achieve happiness is not by realizing success for yourself but by serving others and helping them strive to be the best that they can be. In every industry, and in every role that I have played in my business endeavors, it has always been my goal to serve the customers, clients, stakeholders, and donors to the best of my ability. Ultimately this has translated to success for the organizations with which I have worked and to satisfaction for me personally. I have spent much of my career working with the public, both as a professional and as a volunteer. One of my most significant motivational quotes was from the well-known poet Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” These are words that drive me to be a better leader, employee, supporter, and resource to others.After serving more than 10 years as the executive director for The Pines Catholic Camp, one of the largest co-ed Catholic youth camps in the country, I have transitioned to the position of Program Director at The Catholic Foundation. My experience in leading a nonprofit organization through challenging years to a sustainable business model has helped me in my new role at The Catholic Foundation. It is my honor to work with our donors and trustees to understand the ever-changing needs of the community and to provide strategic grant recommendations for the foundation. My hope is to always have people “remember the way that I made them feel.”
