As an Educational Consultant with a Doctor of Education degree, I leverage my expertise in mindset, noncognitive skills, and professional development to support teachers and students in diverse educational settings. I have over 20 years of experience in high school teaching and program management, where I implemented project-based learning, real-world learning, and deeper learning practices.My mission is to help teachers find success and joy in their profession, and to foster learning mindsets such as growth mindset, grit, and executive functioning in their students. I worked with CCSR at the University of Chicago, Schools That Can, a national network of urban schools, and PERTS, a Stanford University center for applied research, to create and deliver evidence-based resources and training for educators and parents. I also hold certifications in Illinois and Wisconsin teaching, critical friend coaching, and mindfulness fundamentals.

Director Of 8-9 Teacher Network
The 8-9 Teacher Network Project is a 2-year project designed to build 8th and 9th grade teacher capacity to support students across the transition to high school. My role is to direct and support a network of elementary and high school teachers with a focus on supporting students in the transition to high school, utilize research on noncognitive factors in student success to plan and facilitate teacher network activities. I also collaborate with the Postsecondary research team to design, develop, implement and revise an 8th-9th grade professional development model, plan and facilitate monthly cross-school teacher network meetings, provide individual and team level coaching and support to network participants and establish and maintain partnerships for cross-school collaboration. I also collect data and provide analysis of data to inform and revise our network model.
