Resource Match provides grant writing services to non-profits, with a passion for working alongside organizations that support under-represented and/or rural communities. Ann Marie Nafziger, owner and grant writer, is skilled at gathering program information, financials, testimonials, and organizational successes to create a unique and compelling story. She excels at researching and identifying new donors while managing existing relationships. Her successes include securing funding from federal, state, and private sources for arts and cultural organizations, social service agencies, county and municipal governments, and public school districts. Services include identifying opportunities, developing strategy, and managing annual fundraising schedules; researching, writing, editing, and submitting grant applications; and preparing funding reports. I am available for one-time projects as well as longer-term contracts. I have experience providing interim services during transition periods and working as part of a development team on an ongoing basis. Depending on the project, I offer an hourly rate, range of hours, or retainer agreement.

Provide ongoing services as the grant-writing consultant for Permian Strategic Partnership's Rural Texas Grants Initiative. Through the project, PSP underwrote professional grant writing services for non-profit organizations in 14 rural counties located in the Permian Basin. Services included researching, writing, and submitting grant applications and providing organizational planning and fundraising strategy.

Supported a coalition of funders as they transitioned into an independent non-profit focused on strengthening rural Texas. Facilitated communication and collaboration amongst a diverse group of members that included both statewide and national, private and community foundations of varying size and scope. Coordinated new branding and outreach efforts.

Harnessed existing resources, developed new areas of financial and community support, and coordinated special programs for Marfa ISD, a Title 1 school in a remote area of Far West Texas. Identified priorities and met goals through major gift acquisition, private grants, individual donations, crowd-funded campaigns, and annual fundraisers. Generated support from the area’s arts and non-profit organizations, coordinated collaborative enrichment programs including summer camps and internships.

Launched an innovative volunteer reading program in partnership with five Title 1 public schools and their communities to support literacy goals and transform student attitudes toward reading. Convened and facilitated meetings with school boards, administrators, teachers, and community members to assess needs and desire for improvement. Secured grant funding, updated school libraries, mobilized and trained volunteers, and implemented successful programs in six frontier rural communities.

Secured new funding sources and improved critical processes for administration, programs, and infrastructure while acting as the public face of the City. Initiated first-time grant-writing and fundraising efforts. Secured new funding for emergency services, solid waste removal and tire clean up, services for seniors, recycling, and recreation initiatives. Authored a collaborative (municipal and county) USDA economic development grant that was the sole Texas recipient of the two-year, federal award.

Directed the museum’s first education department while expanding visitor engagement programs to broaden cultural impact across diverse audiences. Initiated outreach to regional communities, increasing local attendance and participation exponentially. Implemented a strategic vision for sustainable growth of museum programs. Planned and executed annual schedules, oversaw budgets, and managed staff and docents for education, public programs, and visitor services departments during a period of rapid growth.
