Ann provided energy and environmental consulting services to non-profits, industry and trade associations. She taught Energy and Environment Labs at University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy spring and fall quarters, 2019.

As interim executive director, Ann managed The Climate Registry's staff, core activities and budget. She maintained board relations, recruited new board members, and secured foundation grants and corporate contributions for the annual state delegation to the UN Climate Conference (COP).

Ann's Chicago-based firm provided policy analysis, research and outreach on state and regional issues to trade associations, companies and national non-profits. Her work focused on air, water, fuels, climate change and Great Lakes issues. Her clients included the American Petroleum Institute, The Climate Registry of North America and the American Public Power Association.

As a principal, conducted environmental policy analysis and advocacy for corporate, trade association, non-profit and foundation clients. Engaged state policy makers and the business community on climate change for national non-profit. Analyzed regulations affecting service stations and refineries, researched wind turbine issues in the Chicago area, and identified implementation issues of proposed Great Lakes water management system as part of multi-sector team.

Managed initiatives to increase industrial boiler energy efficiency and reduce smog-causing emissions in the Chicago region for environmental non-profit.

Held succession of regulatory issue management positions for corporate EH&S and Fuels Technology group. Represented BP in state and regional forums, gave presentations on fuels and air quality, participated in trade association work groups and led interdisciplinary teams analyzing key air and water regulations.

As DC office Associate Director, developed positions on Clean Air Act amendments and environmental and energy issues and was a liaison to Illinois Congressional delegation, states, National Governors' Association and other DC-based groups.
