As the president of Dietz Property Group, I lead a talented team in growing and developing the firm’s portfolio and creating value for stakeholders. I also serve as the firm’s Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) Integrator. I believe the job of a leader is to bring out the best in people, and I’ve spent the past 12+ years at DPG working towards that ideal. I work hard to ensure my team knows I respect and appreciate their contributions and believe that leaders—like all people—are not perfect and should model how to handle failure just as well as success. As a mom of two athletes, I use a lot of sports analogies at DPG. A favorite of mine goes like this:You/your team/your business is on offenseYour business goal is the end zoneJust as in football, there is a team on defense trying to keep you from the end zoneThe defense can be anything from an uncooperative vendor, competition, economic cycles, a pandemic, etc. The point is—there will be bumps in the road from things you can and cannot control, so be ready. Rise to the challenge. Overcome the defense and score that touchdown. Much like a professional football team, success at DPG comes from our talented players being led and supported by our team of dedicated coaches. Anything is possible once the right mindset is achieved and, no matter the obstacle, I am humbled and proud to be in a role that allows me to champion these guiding principles within the company.
