Project Manager, HGB Support Operations PMO• Supported the implementation of the new fiscal intermediary partner\vendor chosen to process all claims, billing and enrollment on behalf of Humana for the TRICARE T2017 East Region contract and the 6 million active duty servicemen\women, their families and veterans that contract serves.• For the TRICARE T2017 contract I provided traditional project management services as a team with two other project managers, including project planning, vendor management, risk and issue assessment and mitigation, IT integration, JAD (joint application development) management and project status reporting.

* Working on the $45B government TRICARE T2017 contract, I guided the project team in developing a strategy that would generate meaningful, unique ideas, pushing the business beyond its current offering, making HGB the best competitor for the contract. Because of my prior experience with HGB I was able to bridge gaps in communication, anticipate problems and quickly find solutions.* My strength in this project was in continually questioning & guiding the approach & strategy. I identified missing pieces of the process, example: regarding current operations that would be affected by the T2017 contract that had not been considered.* Researched current industry knowledge on lessons learned and incorporated new techniques and methods into the existing process. Continually researched other areas of project & program management to see the latest trends and advice from other professionals.

* Regularly consulted with the Director of Business Intelligence & Informatics on strategies for implementing initiatives, overall team strategy for the coming year(s), where we should be positioned within HGB IT and the best projects to support that strategy.* Worked closely with the lead PM to implement and thoroughly test the newly purchased PowerSteering PPM solution; identified several issues during implementation like direct labor and budgeting allocation problems, security issues, usability issues, and process flow inconsistencies; mentored other PMs in HGB IT; conducted training.* Managed the upgrade of the SQL servers from version 2008 to 2012. Project consisted of 40 team members who tested over 200 applications. A critical dependency before the SQL servers could be upgraded was the upgrade of 69 laptops.* Implemented project management processes in a team that did not previously use them.* Other HGB projects I managed or were a part of: TEDs data storage; TPharm data processing; Data Working Group with TRO; ActiveHealth, various; HEDIS data processing.

Managed projects as directed by the PMO, for the eCommerce group.* Integrated with HBO (Home Box Office network) to establish the HBO GO product on the www.myinsight.com website. * Managed the Insight IT and QA teams and ensured devices like iOS and Android were compatible with the product and that testing was completed per HBO’s specifications.* Managed the implementation of an identity management system used to provide single sign-on functionality for the www.myinsight.com website. Team included 3rd party vendor for installation and major configuration.* Responsible for overseeing the development, testing and launch of the Online Bill Pay functionality including integration with the Billing and Collections teams to understand all requirements.* Gathered detailed requirements from multiple stakeholders for a web self-service initiative with a 3rd party vendor where customers would be able to add, delete or modify Insight products on their account and other self-service enhancements.

Managed global IT infrastructure projects within the MGTI organization, focusing on data center infrastructure, server relocation, network analysis and application on-boarding.• Led MGTI team in the merger and acquisition of investment consulting firm of 130 people. Ensured network architecture, desktops\laptops, connectivity, telecom functions, service desk support, backup and recovery and email integration were made compatible with Mercer and SEC regulations.• Ensured global coordination of data center projects including resources from areas like engineering, security, NOC, desktop, other support personnel and business owners.• Projects included moving physical machines to virtual environments (VM), firewall port and load balancing change requests, proof of concept studies, bandwidth evaluations studies and acquisition integration.

In the Marketing New Media department:• Implemented a process to complete web \ online projects using PMI methodology by gathering team members and leading them to collaborate to give input to the process. A process was not being used previously. The new process increased the quality of end results of projects.• In 2008 successfully took over four projects that were off course and put them back on schedule, within the existing constraints.• Understand the importance of user-centered design, analytics tracking and search engine marketing (SEM) on the web and how change to these can affect time, scope, cost, etc. • Created RFPs for soliciting Spanish translation vendors for websites. Acquired and managed a vendor through implementation and maintenance, while ensuring a clean site free of translation errors. • Part of project team to research Agile development and propose an implementation solution and how it could be applied within the company. The company chose to implement certain aspects of Agile in combination with existing software development life cycle (SDLC).• Evaluate PM software with intent to purchase (Clarity, @Task, pmbootcamp.com, Microsoft hosted solution). • Coached and developed six direct reports. Acquired training for two people to attended PMP certification classes.

Configured and maintained the software platform containing the products and plans used for billing of consumer and business telecom services. • Assisted the Project Manager with project planning for the CABS-to-SingleView billing system conversion. This project took 1 ½ yrs and was successful.• Partnered with management and the vendor to participate in the implementation of a major upgrade to the SingleView system. This project took 10 months and was successful.• Provided daily maintenance and support of the billing system, including resolving production issues, in a 24/7 environment.• Gathered client requirements and managed the change request process.• Designed & configured new products and rate plans in the system and performed testing and quality control• Gathered information from auditors then implemented process rules to become Sarbanes-Oxley compliant.
