Overall managerial responsibility for a 20MM bbl crude terminal for the United States, located in Nederland, Texas. Terminal includes five ship docks, three barge docks and tankage. The terminal received, stored and distributed crude oil, feedstocks, lubricants, petrochemicals, bunker oils and blends lubricants. Managed 100 supervisory and hourly personnel; oversight of 300 contractors on a daily basis. • Planned and successfully grew terminal storage capacity by 5 MM bbls in less than three years which resulted in increasing terminal throughput by over 50 MM bbls/yr during that same timeframe. • Developed processes for safe implementation of routine and extraordinary work which resulted in a 50% lower recordable injury rate. Served as change agent for company and successfully implemented processes for work plans, lockout / tagout and routine communications. • Interviewed, hired and trained over 55 employees in 3 year period which contributed to successful growth and long term success of terminal. • Served as onsite Incident Commander for Hurricane Preparedness, Response and Recovery which resulted in the terminal receiving oil within one week of Hurricane Ike landfall. • Worked as member of SE Texas Plant Managers Forum and served as Chairman of the Safety and Security Subcommittee. The committee was successful in working with local governments agencies to achieve Hurricane Preparedness plan and Sabine-Neches River security initiatives. • Worked as member of Jefferson County LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Commission) and Sabine Neches Chiefs Association Overall managerial responsibility for pipeline operations, maintenance and regulatory compliance for multi-line system spanning 2000 miles. Served as liaison with state, local and federal regulatory agencies including PHMSA, USEPA • Successfully implemented Process Safety Management Program for the LPG Cavern Facilities which resulted in safer cavern operations.

Overall managerial responsibility for 17 process units at the Catlettsburg, KY refinery. This included al aspects of personnel development, procedure review, regulatory compliance including OSHA, USEPA. • System included 2 crude units, Lube Plant, Cumene Unit, Sulfolane Unit, LPCCR, Gas Oil Treater, Aromatic Desulfurization Unit, Pitch Plant, Aromatics and Aliphatics Units.

Overall managerial responsibility for Operational Units (FCCU Fluidized Bed Boilers and associated offsite equipment) including 23 operators. Various engineering responsibilities from environmental permitting and compliance to black oil scheduling and developing Missed Opportunities tracking report.• Received Chairman’s award for efforts in improving environmental compliance. The award was for overall environmental awareness training and working with the operators and supervisors to understand their permit requirements. • Developed a Missed Opportunity Tracking Process for the Catlettsburg Refinery that identified over $50 million in Missed Opportunities and identified areas for improvement. • Worked as Assistant Area Operations Supervisor in FCCU Fluidized Bed Boilers, FCC, SRU and Hydrotreater areas and improved limestone movements for the boilers. By changes to the advanced controls, permit compliance was met while minimizing the amount of limestone needed. Overall limestone handling and material costs were reduced.
