The UK has an engineering and manufacturing skills gap, and rapidly changing challenges and technologies make it even harder for employers to identify and find the right skills at the right time. That's why as CEO, I ensure our objectives are based on supporting the UK’s engineering and manufacturing sector to adapt to the challenges it faces today.

As Chief Operating Officer, I led the transformation of all Group operations, ensuring accountability to the board while managing key areas including employer engagement, government relations and policy, as well as marketing and PR initiatives. I successfully delivered a major reorganisation of the Group, formerly known as Semta.

As Managing Director at EAL, part of the Enginuity Group, I served as the board director responsible for the awarding body, overseeing an annual turnover of £10 million. EAL provides industry-leading engineering and manufacturing qualifications, assessments, and skills solutions for educators and training providers. I was accountable for delivering qualifications to approximately 150,000 learners each year. My responsibilities included setting the strategic direction, developing and implementing annual business plans, and managing relationships with key industry bodies, such as qualification regulators and government departments. I was also a finalist for the IoD 'Young Director of the Year' award in 2007.

As Marketing & Product Manager for EAL, I developed and executed marketing strategies while managing the product portfolio. I focused on driving growth through effective market positioning, promotional campaigns, and product innovation. My role involved close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch and continuous improvement of our engineering and manufacturing qualifications and skills solutions.
