Develop a market approach for the military health systems in the National Capital Region. Serve as a consultant and analyst to implement, communicate, and standardize DHA policies and guidance at the independent, Military Treatment Facility (MTF) service level. Consult with DHA and NCR clinical optimization teams to standardize virtual health, Graduate Medical Education training in operations, and improve access to care to include enhancing beneficiary communications and ease of appointments in primary care services for 13 MTFs. Analyze data and operational trends and identify solutions for barriers to optimal service performance as defined by policy and corresponding metrics. Assist in developing interim and supplemental policy as necessary. Present analysis, proposals, and new policy to clinical leadership. From August 2019 - 2020, the market, with approximately 240,000 beneficiaries, had primary care encounter costs totaling approximately $59 million.

Observe specialty clinics and operations of a non-profit hospital system and academic medical center through rotation scheduling. Sept 2016 - June 2017 Served as the liaison between the CEO and senior management team to lead and facilitate special projects related to the strategic vision, strategic partnership, novel initiatives, communication, and management.Monitored legislative and regulatory developments by reviewing the internet, trade press and Federal Register. Upon request, attended, monitored, summarized and analyzed congressional briefings, hearings, public meetings and other events. Conducted research and analysis related to reimbursement, health care reform, sustainability and other issues that impact transfusion medicine and cellular therapies. Liaised and managed special interest groups as directed by CEO. Assisted the CEO with managing the Strategic Planning process for AABB.

Supported Standards and Cellular Therapy Departments of AABB by coordinating AABB’s editing and development process of cellular therapy quality standards for facilities and laboratories, monitoring relevant regulatory development in cellular therapy, managing international facility’s requests for variances in standards of all AABB quality standard subject areas, and facilitating the Cellular Therapy Department’s International Ambassador pilot program.

As a Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) for one year, I lived on small living stipend while serving as Program Assistant at the Medical University of South Carolina in a program called Coastal Connections. In this role, I developed an MHA student committee to oversee program development. To facilitate program growth, I focused on action planning, business and strategic planning, workflow creation, project proposals, and authorship of survey and case studies. In addition, I created client satisfaction surveys, developed a program outcome and quality assessment, participated in community partnership building, and created educational modules for student volunteers.

Facilitated student event marketing for JMU’s University Union by reporting and writing on student events and identifying emerging trends and audiences. Named lead writer after 2 years of employment and created the Office of Technology and Design’s Writer Guide and writer’s workflow.
