AccessNow is a social enterprise sharing accessibility information about places and experiences around the world. Designed to empower people with disabilities, the platform shares over 1 million reviews in 107 countries from the lens of lived experience. At AccessNow, I manage the company's social media presence across multiple platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X. I create, edit, and release content that highlights our brand’s voice and mission, while engaging directly with our community online. I focus on promoting accessibility, inclusion, and disability-focused initiatives through compelling storytelling, graphics, videos, and tips to build awareness and engagement.I support the rollout of various community programs and initiatives, such as our flagship NextGen leadership program for disabled youth in Canada. I was one of the key team members responsible for the program’s administrative tasks, communication materials, and overall execution. I also spearheaded the marketing efforts, helping ensure the program’s success.In addition, I lead the community outreach for MapMission Day, a yearly event to activate communities to contribute valuable accessibility information using the AccessNow app. I successfully coordinated partnerships with over 20 organizations, helping to amplify the event and support our mission. My role involved organizing community partners, supporting event logistics, and driving engagement through both in-person and virtual participation.

I worked in the Consulting Team to develop and edit RFPs for organizations in health care, real estate, and consumer retail sectors, as well as government agencies and municipalities for consulting projects related to EDI. My role includes conducting research and providing writing support, including literature reviews and reports. I assist with the data analysis of a variety of qualitative and quantitative data related to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and our diverse stakeholders using DI's Diversity Assessment Tool (DAT).

I am researching, writing, and developing course content for Impact Toolbox's course, 'Introduction to Social Impact Measurement'.

I designed graphics and videos using Canva and various online video editing softwares to help CRAFTS (Childcare Records, Attendance, & Financial Tracking System) attract higher social media engagements and promote their product on Facebook, Tiktok, and Instagram. I also developed instructional videos to improve their users' navigation process while using their app.

I was responsible for analysing policies and developing strategic course content, knowledge tests, and implementing a streamlined onboarding program for all Community Investment Stewards across the globe, improving RBC's internal onboarding program. I created 3 modules that included knowledge test questions, case studies, and summaries. I used Articulate 360 to develop practice courses and learned the best practices to create e-learning courses. I tracked, compiled and updated RBC’s internal tracking system for 300+ disaster relief & COVID-19 donations; used SmartSimple and Microsoft Excel to categorize and help analyze data for impact results. Furthermore, I supported RBC’s internal website upgrades by focusing on improving accessibility for its users through user-testing, updating content on pages, maintained brand consistency, implemented style and formatting to RBC standards.

As part of the Intrapreneurship Program, I have worked with 6+ startups across Canada including: FreshFind, Co-Housing Newfoundland, Bucketlist Vacations, Infostructure Technology Inc, Impact Toolbox and more. My responsibilities have been focused on improving the social media visibility of the startups by developing and executing social media marketing plans/calendars, editing websites, improving communication strategies, and creating other forms of multimedia marketing materials using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud. I also conducted research on best practices for ensuring accessibility-focused designs in affordable housing, researched and presented best practices on creating inclusive housing communities and best practices for ensuring accessibility-focused design.

At the Office of Vice-President, Research and Innovation, I worked with multiple teams to support the process for policy development and review of Senate SRC related policies and procedures. I provided analytical support on internal SRC funding and awards programs and digitize SRC related policy materials and records. I was responsible for general administrative tasks and communications projects. I edited drafts for internal and external correspondences, presentation decks, reports, and briefing materials distributed from the Office of the AVP for engagement-related activities (e.g., committee meetings, town halls, info sessions, etc.). I worked on special projects and strategic initiatives such as Ryerson’s School of Medicine. I’ve conducted environmental scans and research, solicited feedback, and provided support to edit important government documents. ​​I’ve participated in and assisted with the logistics for the consultation sessions with a lens focusing on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

I assisted the team by researching potential funders, grant opportunities, and industry trends. After putting forward recommendations, I provided writing support for 20 grant proposals and prepared them for submission. I also was part of the planning, design, and development of marketing materials for a fundraising strategy which included various support letters and supporting fundraising material (visuals, videos, written work). I mainly used Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Monday.com, Microsoft Office and more. I also conducted cold-calls to over 50 individuals to support our fundraising efforts and get involved with the ICL.

I had the opportunity to work directly with the Executive Director and Communications Lead to support the fundraising efforts of the organization, specifically with their $1 million campaign, in order to further the mission of empowering social justice seekers with the tools needed to create change in Canada.

I was responsible for providing support to the marketing + communications team and project management office by being a creative and resourceful problem-solver. I assisted with projects including editing articles, updatingthe website using WordPress, contributing to content and event planning, writing content that would reach all of Magnet's audiences (employers, employees, and businesses) researching, and providing assistance with day-to-day operations as needed. I conducted UX research to help update the Community of Practice page on the Future Skills Centre website to understand how the French page can be more accessible.
