As a policy analyst intern, I collaborated with the team on policy and program development by conducting qualitative analyses, drafting policy notes, and providing strategic advice from a public health lens. In addition, I supported the development of both pan-Canadian and Ontario nursing regulatory frameworks by creating briefing materials and presentations for stakeholder consultations. Overall I gained extensive knowledge of government regulations in the healthcare industry, developed excellent organizational, writing, and public speaking skills, and learned how to create effective presentations for stakeholder audiences.
