Student Member Research TeamOxfam-Wereldwinkels / Oxfam Fair Trade Sep 2017 - Mar 2019I am part of a student consultancy project for Oxfam Wereldwinkels and Academics for Development for which an advisory report is written on good and bad practices of gender policies at Fair Trade Coffee Cooperatives in Western Uganda. The project exists of three phases. During the first preparation phase, the team develops a theoretical framework for the research, a country analysis of Uganda and a literature review on gender policies in agricultural cooperatives. The second phase concerns field work in West Uganda, where we apply qualitative research methods (participatory drawing exercises, focus groups, interviews and observations) to collect data on the practices of gender policies. As the project takes a multi stakeholder approach, the fieldwork involves visits to the cooperative unions, the farms, NGO's and communities. The third phase is meant for the organisation of data, the analysis of data and the writing process of the report. -
