The Model European Parliament (MEP) is a simulation of the European Parliament for European high school students. MEP offers these students the opportunity to gain experience in the fields of European policy making, international relations and problem solving in an international environment.As Chairman I was responsible for the coordination of the Model European Parliament Zuid-Holland conference. I did guide board meetings, oversaw and supported the organization of the conference, and was responsible for all activities of the organization.

As Provincial Coordinator was am responsible for the organization of MEP Zuid-Holland. My most important tasks were the preparations of board meetings, the preparation and organization of the conference itself, and the supervision and preparation of +/- 10 delegates to the national MEP conference.

During this research internship I performed independent research on the effects of neighborhoods on cardiovascular diseases, specifically blood pressure. Title: "The Association Between Neighborhood Characteristics, Individual Health-Related Behavior and Blood Pressure: The Doetinchem Cohort Study"Supervisors: Prof. dr. ir. H.A.(Jet) Smit, Prof. dr. F.J. (Frank) van Lenthe, and Prof. dr. W.M.M. (Monique) Verschuren.
