Member of Rubrik metadata team. Some of my key projects are:- Implement Copyset feature to achieve reliability in a distributed system.- Design and implement parallel framework for database operation in a distributed system.

I worked in Write Anywhere File Layout (WAFL: the NetApp file system) Data Path team in NetApp. I worked on the design and development of the NetApp file system for faster, efficient, and reliable data access. Some of my key achievements are: • Increasing end-to-end bandwidth of NetApp file system for NVMe. • Increased the parallelism for read, write, and journaling in a multi-core environment. Tasks include designing better hash function for load balancing, converting single threaded tasks into multi-threaded code, better scheduling policy, etc. • Working on improving file system’s buffer cache. Designed and developed tools for system-wide tracking of buffers in buffer cache, location-aware data access rule, etc. • Research and Development towards data layout in SSDs for better wear-levelling. • Design and prototype Erasure coding for deduplication in Cloud Storage. Computation Offloading and Storage Augmentation of Mobile Devices with Cloud:Designed and developed a framework to distribute/augment the computation and storage of mobile device with private and public cloud in a seamless way in OS/VM level. I explored and implemented various machine learning methods to monitor users’ behavior for better performance. I am studying the feasibility of various cloud environments to support Earth Science Applications.

In this summer Intern project, I have worked towards achieving more parallelism in NetApp file system in multi-processor world. My responsibility was to balance load among the multiple cores to maximize the system utilization. I have worked in the WAFL Performance Engineering Group.

Developed DSoD backend features, including ActiveMQ support, View Data, and DSoD server configuration, which are parts of the SAP DSoD V1 live Nov 15, 2012.

As an Lecturer, I used to teach Algorithm, Data Structure, Digital Logic and C Programming Language for the undergrad course.
