Engineering leader for channels experiences in Microsoft Teams.▣ Channel conversations, navigation, lifecycle and members management, shared and private channels for Microsoft Teams web and desktop apps developed on web stack using TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Electron and custom sync and multi window frameworks.▣ Cloud services and distributed systems with integrations across Microsoft 365 suite to support boundaryless channels experiences for 270M+ Teams monthly active users.I focused on building healthy teams, defining vision and architecture and partnering with teams across the company to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

▣ Bootstrapped multiple teams in newly opened India Development Center for Microsoft Teams and transitioned development and delivery to ship productivity features including document browsing, sharing and collaboration, calendar and meeting scheduling experience, notes etc.▣ Architected and led development of the client framework to integrate React and GraphQL based components with the AngularJS app to facilitate migration from large legacy codebase to new modular and multi window architecture.▣ Envisioned, architected and led development of a distributed services platform for building new APIs with agility to store, process and serve data at scale using Azure Service Fabric, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs and M365 Substrate for Compliance and Enterprise Search.

Led the development team to ship education features in Microsoft Teams including teams for classrooms and teacher communities, hosting OneNote and assignments using Teams platform, student chat moderation and more optimization for teachers and students.

Engineering lead in Education team at Microsoft. I worked across multiple projects:▣ Microsoft ClassroomBootstrapped v1 project to build a classroom solution by integrating multiple Office 365 services for managing classes and assignment workflow for K-12 teachers and students. I focused on overall product architecture, developing features and integrating with other O365 services, scaling product for worldwide rollout and helped launched beta version across multiple school districts while spending most of my time on mentoring team members, working with designers/product managers and meeting customers. ▣ School Data SyncArchitected the solution for syncing schools, teachers, students and class rosters form school information systems to Azure Active Directory.▣ Office MixBuilt the web playback experience for Office Mix, a PowerPoint add-in to create interactive online videos based on PowerPoint presentations. The player, written in TypeScript, used a recorded timeline of events and multiple content streams for playback by synchronizing everything using JavaScript event loop. ▣ Development lead in Windows Operations team where we developed the system for contracts management with OEMs, order processing, product key generation and distribution tracking for license verifications starting Windows 8.▣ I was responsible for many aspects of development including architecture, development and integration with multiple systems across Microsoft. I also defined the vision for modernizing the user experience and authentication system for multiple web portals owned by our team.
