As a distribution process worker at DLA San Joaquin I specialized in all aspects of the distribution process. My responsibilities included but were not limited to receiving, inventory storage & count, order selection, assembly, packing, & shipping. As a distribution process worker I held several MHE licenses including pallet jacks (manual & electric), forklifts up to 20k capacity (electric, propane & gas) and platform lifts. At DLA San Joaquin I was also a warehouse safety coordinator. As a safety coordinator my primary objective was to create a safe working environment for my coworker. I was the direct link between the workforce and upper management by observing, reporting and suggesting safer & ergonomically friendly upgrades to increase the moral and production of the employee. My experience with DLA San Joaquin assisted me in increasing my knowledge of material storage & distribution, workplace safety, organizational, leadership and management skills.
