I am amazed and grateful for my professional career spanning over 27 years. The saying time flies when you’re having fun seems all too true in my case. Looking back, one thing that brings a smile to my face is the diversity of the industries and roles I’ve had the pleasure of working in. As I love to share with anyone who asks – from companies in the business of industrial explosives to media companies crafting explosive stories and from the lesser-known tales of mixing it up as a DJ, to starting up and running an advertising agency at age 22 (!), to leading a team of amazing, talented and motivated professionals in the financial services profession – my journey continues! I sometimes shake my head in wonder at how far I’ve come, from the shy geek teaching computers to a classroom full of students to being comfortable enough in my own skin to stand in front of a room full of people sharing, talking, communicating and inspiring each other, to a board member advising and guiding companies of the future.My wife says words are my superpower and while I don’t disagree (….that’s wisdom there :-)) I believe it is my positive mindset, can-do attitude and willingness to do what’s needed to get the job done that forms the basis of the trust and confidence I enjoy from my colleagues and company.
