My varied and rewarding professional career has brought me many unique opportunities. I have been a member of the team at Cleland Jardine Engineering (now BPA) since 2012 in the role of Project Director, focusing on fostering the development of the Building Science Team, and project management in the design, analysis, investigation and restoration of structures.My building science and construction project management experience includes:- Construction administration and field review of various buildings: government, commercial, residential, hospitals and other mission-critical facilities. - Concrete structural repair including full parking deck replacements. - Cladding design and restoration. - Roofing design or replacement, of all types. - Mechanical equipment seismic retrofits, replacements and upgrades.- Heritage stone and clay brick masonry.- Foundation underpinning and repair. - Glazing design and restoration.- Ground penetrating radar surveys of concrete structures.- Concrete chloride and carbonation analysis.- Investigation of building cladding elements via swing stage or bosun chair.- Repair material bond strength testing.- Sculptures design and construction management.- Equipment and process design and construction management.- Historic wood timber restoration and structural design.I've completed a masters degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on post-disaster structural engineering, which has allowed me to build on the technical experience listed above and undertake complex structural design projects, providing invaluable structural analysis of existing buildings during restoration projects.
