Resident Assistants (RA) play an important role in creating community, serving as resources for other students, and being peer leaders.Live-in student staff are committed, invested, and active members of the community. They provide avital link between College Student Life (CSL) or Affiliated Residential Community Housing (ARCH)staff and the student body by utilizing training in education and curriculum dissemination, leadership,peer counseling, crisis intervention, cross-cultural communication, and activities planning.

The Board Chair facilitates the development of the CAD Board as a collective body that gives leadershipto the CAD community and its programs, as funded by Measure 49. This includes maintaining anactive interest in the internal operations of CAD overall and the external environment thatimpacts CAD’s ability to serve and to grow. The Chair stays in contact with Board members, isaccessible and initiates contact when there is information to share. The Chair maintains anoverview of CAD, including its annual calendar of productions and operations (e.g. hires, budgetmaintenance, etc.) and ensures that the board has sufficient time to consider information beforemaking decisions.
