Counterparty Risk Assessment• Responsible for developing and updating internal credit rating models for the assessment of counterparties (Commercial banks, Investment Banks & Brokers).• Effectively managing a portfolio of more than 200+ counterparties by performing their annual credit assessments though various quantitative, qualitative, group support assessment parameters etc.• Evaluating counterparties credit risk through detailed analysis of financial statements, ratio analysis and assigning indicative credit ratings.• Performing extensive credit risk analysis of low internally/externally rated counterparties, preparing credit reports and giving recommendations on these counterparties.• Comparison of internal credit ratings of counterparties with credit ratings by external agencies (Moody’s, S&P, Fitch) and analysing the differences in ratings in case of large deviations.• Daily monitoring of news, earnings releases, change in external ratings, CDS spread of counterparties and analysing these events’ impact on their overall credit assessment including profitability, leverage, liquidity etc. • Perform ad-hoc analysis on new industry trends, changing regulations or any other risks involving related counterparties affecting their credit assessment.
