My academic background includes a PhD in medical microbiology from the prestigious PGIMER Chandigarh, under the guidance of Prof. Pallab Ray. My research primarily focused on the intricacies of anaerobic microbiology. As one of the few labs in India working on anaerobic microbiology, I am proud to have contributed significantly to the field through my research on resistome, mobilome, and horizontal genomics in anaerobic bacteria. With a dearth of research on anaerobes in India, I believe my work has helped fill a critical knowledge gap and shed light on the role of these microorganisms in infectious diseases. In addition to my expertise in anaerobic medical microbiology, I am also passionate about academic writing and communication. My experience in publishing research papers in leading national and international journals has honed my skills in effectively communicating complex scientific concepts to a wide audience.
