As a Business Excellence Intern at Shyam Sel and Power Limited - A unit of Shyam Metalics, I led several key projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs. These included calculating the OEE of the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM), optimizing the section change time in the Light Structure Mill, and enhancing the dispatch process for Ferro Alloys. I also worked on optimizing vehicle detention processes, developing a predictive model for Gross Calorific Value (GCV) optimization, and reducing shutdown time in the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant.
