Applied upgrades and scheduled maintenance of products that the Information Technology Developers utilized to created their business applications.Lead a Team of 5 to build the infrastructure related to Client Server Development. Includes how we had to inventory licensing from several Mainframe systems, to hundreds to thousands of PCs and Servers. This development developed the need for additional Infrastructure Support Teams that Allstate now has in place to be a Leader in our Industry.

Mainframe programmer for Direct Certificate Administration system for primarily Sears retiree policyholders. Maintained/supported nightly application batch cycle, provided oncall/onsite support mainframe application written in BAL/IMS DB backend with JCL.Transitioned to develop a new application supporting Balboa Credit Card insurance system utilizing BAL/IMS/JCL along with Easytrieve Plus for nightly natch cycle transaction reporting. Became the lead developer to transition both system to Cobol/Cobol II and VSAM. Created the conversion application to migrate the old transaction history codes to the new system (vended solution). Successfully migrated 25+ million Policyholder data and their transactions within 48 hours successfully, with no loss of fidelity.
