Hi there! I’m Anson, a Senior Accountant at KPMG Canada’s Vancouver office in the Information & Communications, Consumer Markets and Entertainment (ICE) group. My journey has been diverse and enriching, from working as a radio news anchor at CJVB Fairchild Radio to studying astronomy and astrophysics at the University of Toronto. This stint in astronomy nurtured my curiosity, critical, and scientific thinking, which I bring into my current role. As a Canadian, I also studied abroad in Hong Kong for parts of my elementary and secondary education. I’m therefore proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin at a native level.I graduated with honors from UBC Sauder School of Business, specializing in Accounting and concentrating in Business Law. Before joining KPMG, I gained valuable industry experience at Motorola Solutions, where I assisted with financial reporting, and at Doman Building Materials, where I contributed to both financial reporting and internal audit functions.Outside of my professional life, I’m passionate about coaching and mentoring young athletes as the Head Coach of both the Junior and Senior Badminton Team at Burnaby North Secondary School.Currently, I’m working towards my CPA designation, while embracing continuous growth within KPMG. I love leveraging my diverse experiences to contribute to our team’s success and deliver value to our clients.Looking forward to connecting and sharing more of this journey!
