With over 20 years of experience, I am passionate about amplifying the voices of those most marginalized and excluded from societal structures. I hold a PhD in public health policy and my applied research primarily focused on embedding health considerations into non-health sector policymaking and ensuring that the voices of excluded communities inform and contribute to policy development and decision-making processes. Throughout my career, I have worked as an academic, leading research teams at multiple Australian universities. I have also worked in a multitude of diverse sectors including community health, mental health, and local government, using my leadership skills, deep understanding of people, and ability to forge meaningful partnerships to address complex societal challenges.My core skills include empathetic leadership, building vibrant and cohesive team structures, developing cross-sector partnerships, and fostering effective communication.
