I work as Head of Sourcing at The European Pizza Company. The European Pizza Company has more than 90 years of experience in the pizza business. We have grouped our first three brands under the TEPC holding company: Kotipizza (est. 1987) in Finland, New York Pizza (est. 1993) in the Netherlands and in Germany, and Da Grasso (est. 1996) in Poland. Our aim is to lead with differentiation and quality, combined with localness, technology and positive impact on the society and the environmentI have worked in procurement and logistics since 1999. I began my career working as a buyer at Kesko. From Kesko I moved to Helsinki Foodstock and later on took more responsibility on the Kotipizza Group level. My aim in business (and in life) is to have a positive effect on the world around me. Even as a young buyer I realized the influence and power a buyer can have when it comes to sustainability and responsibility. The end consumer can only buy sustainable products if a buyer first makes it possible. I realized I wanted to make a difference and make sustainable products more available in Finland. Now I continue that work more globally.The key drivers of my work are responsibility and sustainability. I am also strongly commercial and business orientated, always striving for best results. I believe in honesty and openness in both what I do and what my company does.
