Responsible for managing a fleet of approximately 120 vehicles, ranging from 3.5t LWB vehicles up to 40ft articulated HGV’s. Duties include:▪ Managing the fleet and company drivers to ensure that all operational targets are achieve. ▪ Monitoring of the vehicle tracking system to ensure it is working correctly and drivers are driving safely and efficiently. ▪ Management of the servicing schedule so all company vehicles remain roadworthy. ▪ Management of road traffic accidents and break down procedures. ▪ Create an effective reporting process and regularly provide update reports to the Operations Manager so they are aware of any issues. ▪ Alongside HR, you will drive the disciplinary process where it is necessary. ▪ You will monitor fleet costs to ensure the annual budget is achieved. ▪ Ensure that we , as a business are operating our fleet in line with transport legislation. ▪ Organisation of hire vehicles where the needs of the business require it. ▪ Negotiation of cost-effective fuel solutions.

• Sole SME for all road transport moves globally. • Instructor on a variety of vehicle platforms. • Fleet manager of 110 green fleet military vehicles. • As part of senior management team involved in planning, delivery, sustainment and recovery of all UK and Overseas deployments. • Mentoring of subordinates and peers. • Justification (business case) for expenditure.• Presentations to excess of 100 personnel on driver hour’s regulations and all other driving policy. • Risk assessor, internal auditor. • Rationalise fleet requirements to reduce wastage. • Discipline and correctional training where required. • Produce written procedures and project plans ensuring all milestones are completed on time and to budget• Ensure staff receive appropriate training to give them the skills and knowledge necessary to fulfil their roles effectively• Create best practice documents and work instructions.

• Responsible for a fleet of 2500 vehicles across 4 locations.• In charge of a 2 million Euro self-drive hire car contract.• Efficiently managing a team 5 transport planners. • Responsible for all of the dispatching, routing, and tracking of vehicles.• Dispatching complex and oversized goods to national and international destinations.• Overseeing the installation on telematics systems in all owned fleet vehicles.• Managing, monitoring and developing a team of drivers and line managers.• Involved in strategic development and strategy making.• Ensuring that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained and serviced. Overseeing maintenance scheduling. • Arranging for the induction and training off all new staff.• Regularly liaising with the maintenance manager to ensure a smooth running of both departments.• Developing and nurturing customer relationships.• Maintaining accurate administrative records.• Giving drivers a full debrief, including telematics analysis.• Organising vehicle checks.• Identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities.• Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently.• Appraising staff performance and also taking disciplinary measures when required.• Ensuring all site and customer objectives are achieved.• Responsible for all H&S investigations.

• Responsible for getting the aircraft refuelled on time in priority order.• In charge of the day to day operations of the Airfield MT department.• Efficiently managing a team of drivers and vehicles. • Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures to do with ADR and towing etc.• Being the first point of contact for all drivers.• Arranging for the induction and training off all new staff.• Regularly liaising with contractors to ensure a smooth receipts of fuel.• Maintaining accurate administrative records.• Giving drivers a full debrief.• Organising vehicle checks.• Identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities.• Ensuring all site and customer objectives are achieved.• Responsible for all Risk assessment and building safety audits.
