The City of Durham, Community Development Department is the Lead Agency for the Durham City and County Continuum of Care. Together with local shelter, housing, and supportive service providers, we work to ensure that homelessness in Durham is rare, brief, and one-time.In this role, I assist with allocation processes for federal, state, and local funds targeted to homeless housing needs; draft, execute, and manage contracts; monitor and evaluate project implementation; and meet monthly with the Lived Experience Advisors (LEAD) Workgroup, amplifying the voices of people with lived experience of homelessness.

Chapman Partnership is the primary provider partner of the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust and local continuum of care. It supplies 60% of emergency shelter beds in the county, along with comprehensive services to support clients in quickly returning to self-sufficiency.In this role, I led: 1) project management efforts to renovate an existing warehouse into an adult learning academy for clients experiencing homelessness; 2) employment and education team efforts to connect clients to jobs and learning opportunities; 3) business intelligence efforts related to data collection, warehousing, analysis and reporting for decision-making.I also worked with the lead agency and HMIS provider to improve organizational data and reporting; and with the development team on fundraising and grant reporting.From 2017-2021, I served as Family Resource Manager and managed a team of 6 to support families with children living in emergency shelter. In this role I oversaw services to families, such as school enrollment, after-school and summer programming, and renovation of physical facilities. During my tenure, we also created fundable programs that generated over $350,000 in revenue, including the Young Adult Career Academy and the Parent Institute.Served on Employee Relations and Chapman Champions Wellness committees from 2017-2020.
