Tom Antal is founding partner of Antal and Associates and a licensed fire protection engineer in Minnesota, working throughout the United States. An industry veteran with twenty years of experience in code consulting, design and construction project teams, Tom is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and a registered Professional Engineer (PE). Tom has achieved certification by NICET as a Level IV Senior Engineering Technician (SET) in Fire Protection Engineering Technology/Fire Alarm Systems - which is the highest level, and most advanced certification available through The National Institute for Certification In Engineering Technologies (NICET). Tom has been an active in National Code Development through code development committees with the Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA) and other industry leadership groups. He is a member of International Code council, which develops model building codes for the industry. Tom was principal associate in Fire Protection Engineering with a large mechanical, electrical engineering firm, before founding Antal and Associates. Tom is a strong advocate of positive client relationships, creative problem solving and excellent customer service. His featured projects include high rise business occupancies, health care hospital campus, manufacturing faculties, government institutional facilities and a higher education campus.
