About Antariksha Das

As an experimental physicist, I specialize in classical and quantum optics, along with quantum communication. My expertise lies in building efficient quantum memory for photonic qubits and conducting spectroscopy of rare-earth-ion-doped materials to facilitate large-scale quantum networks. Currently, my research focuses on constructing a quantum node for functional quantum repeaters over long distances. During my previous postdoc, I worked on silicon vacancy (VSi) related point defects in SiC (silicon carbide), exploring their applications in single-photon spectroscopy, quantum networking, and quantum sensing. With extensive experience in electro-optics hardware, including lasers, detectors, modulators, and cryogenic components, I possess a diverse skill set crucial for advancing quantum technologies.
