The Port Stephens Telecentre was a new business initiative of the Port Stephens Council. The centre establishment was funded through the ‘Networking the Nation’ Fund. The centre’s objective was to raise the awareness of the Internet & Technology within the local community and to be financially sustainable. It was part of the Department of Information Technology‘s Community Technology Centre Program. I was engaged at the concept stage to create the business plan for the establishment of the Port Stephens Telecentre, lead the design and build of the centre, develop products and services, take ownership of business development, manage the P&L and provided reporting to Council, State Govt and Federal Government. Established and managed local volunteer workforce of 40 people.
