• Nokia has a mobile app store similar to Apple’s app store. The initial implementation was a cobbled-together collection of existing sub-systems that was not initially scalable or reliable. The system needed to be.
• Overall system engineering for the Store. This included system aspects such as function, high availability, performance, scalability and future proof evolution.
• Managed a team of architects, requirements managers and a project manager.
• Led the team that was responsible for driving architecture studies, managing technical requirements and bridging the gap between product managers and the developers and testers in Vancouver, Boston and Helsinki.
• Responsible for overall development and release planning.

• Nokia developed a fully featured Games Platform comprising an SDK and Games Client for Nokia phones, a Games Distribution Platform including web-based and on-device stores and payment solutions and a Gaming Community.
• Joined the Nokia Games division as the requirements engineer for the SDK of the new N-Gage platform.
• Took on expanded role of overall Requirements Engineer for the whole program, recognized as the “go-to guy” of the overall E2E system architecture.
• Set up the System Engineering team that was responsible for the interface between Product Management and Development after the launch in March 2008. Engineering services provided by the team included Architecture Mgt.
• Responsibilities included:
• Establishing and rolling out all the R&D engineering processes with particular emphasis on the “front-end” processes.

• Provided System and Requirements Engineering services in the development of Nokia's advanced CDMA PDA type handset. Main functions included:
• Elicitation, analysis and documentation of customer, system and feature requirements.
• Determining the impact of requirements on the system architecture.
• Involvement in high-level design and review of design and testing documentation.
• Knowledge transfer to other staff members to improve ramp-up.

• Contracted to assist in product testing of Motorola's switched core network for GSM and UMTS cellular systems being developed.
• Acted as Verification Team Leader responsible for testing various features and for establishing and conducting performance testing. Teams ranged from three to six people.
• Oversaw requirements, architecture and design reviews.
• Planned, designed, implemented and conducted test suites for feature and performance testing.
• Planned, designed, budgeted and built high performance test harnesses and the utilities for monitoring and controlling such large test platforms.
• Developed performance test support utilities for capturing, analyzing and easily visualizing large quantities of performance data. These tools were deployed in other test facilities around the world.
