Systems Administrator
CurrentResponsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting and repairing USAFRICOM servers, software, network peripherals, and elevated network accounts. Mentor or train other Systems Administrators when necessary or when my expertise in a particular area can be of service to the team. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with servers, virtual environments, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. • Responsible for Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory infrastructure in a mixed Windows environment to include DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and system security• Installs and maintains physical hardware such as printers through manual installation and the use of DHCP / InfoBlox, STIG / configuration procedures and PowerShell scripting when necessary. • Maintains elevated, foreign national and service accounts through Active Directory and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)• Research, acquire, install and upgrade system components and software, provide routine automation through the use of MECM and vSphere, maintain security policies, install patches and troubleshoot domain and server related outages.• Supports systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications.
