I am a computer geek with two decades of customer service experience.My first job was working at a Burger King, from there I went on to work in retail and even a call center refining my ability to provide service to customers in varying environments. Listening to customers, finding solutions for my customer’s needs, and empathizing with and addressing customer concerns has been the focal point of my career up to this point. The customer service skills I have developed along with my belief in taking responsibility for my work, and continual improvement lead to my last position where I trained and coached our crew members to uphold the standards set forth by our cooperate policies. Beyond learning to listen to, empathizing with and taking care of my customers needs, I have learned that in a fast paced environment, organization, planning, and multitasking can lead to efficient use of time which will positively drive results.My parents have a story they enjoy embarrassing me with, when I was five, I got ahold of one of my father’s screw drivers and took apart the audio box in my Clip-Clop the wonder horse to see how it worked. This is a pattern that has continued throughout my life, from learning how to navigate directories on a dos-box as a pre-teen to building and maintaining my own computers as an adult. I enjoy learning how and why something works.Today I aim to combine my experience in customer service, and my knowledge and interest in computer technologies to embark on a new path in intellectual technologies. To this end I have earned CompTIA’s A+ certification to demonstrate that I have the skills necessary to make this career transition. In my journey to become certified I explored areas of computer technology that I had not had the opportunity to explore before. One example of this is the use of Oracle's VM VirtualBox to build virtual machines for varies Linux distributions, and Windows Pro. Now I have moved onto studying for the CompTIA’s Network+ certification exam and I am to fallow that with earning CompTIA’s Security+ exam.
