This is the company that I started in 2016, born out of the passion that I have for what beer really is.Although in it's infancy this is a dream that is slowly becoming a reality. Everything I do is done because of the passion that I have for what I am doing. And the most exciting thing, I have the opportunity to introduce people to the ancient (and honoured) art of what beer really is.

Responsible for the maintenance and development of the in-house developed application of Invoice Factoring. The system is written in Natural and runs from both a Windows Server (Front-end) and on a UNIX server, back-end. The database used is ADABAS.Also did support on Oracle Sibel system, using DB2 and Java.

Mainly did maintenance on the Insurance side of the business.Natural/ADABAS running on the OMUNET mainframe.

Maintenance and enhancement of current system using NATURAL as language and ADABAS as database. Working in mainframe environment (Com-Plete), TSO and JCL

Maintenance and enhancement of current system using NATURAL as language and ADABAS as database. Responsible for month-end and year-end procedures. Adhoc development using Microsoft Visual C for Actuarial Evaluation system. Only minor changes were done and implemented. Researched XML and a replacement for current EDI system. This was never implemented due to cost and technology issues. Interface development between ADABAS and Oracle for the migration from JD Edwards to Oracle Financials.

Maintenance & Development of Financial and Insurance systems using NATURAL and ADABAS.Extensive user training and assistance. System integration and migration from a Delphi system used in one of the industries into NATURAL. Y2K upgrades and changes. Developed an Internet enquiry system using Java, DCOM (EntireX module for NATURAL) and then of course NATURAL.

Management and development of the provincial Financial System in Mpumalanga.First exposure to NATURAL, ADABAS and UNIXDeveloped a complete NATURAL system for the Provincial Liquor Board, they were running a Clipper system at that moment.Adhoc reporting to the Auditor General (Heath Commission under judge Heath).ADABAS maintenance and UNIX (Borne Shell) scripting (basic).Extensive user training and support.

Maintenance of their then current loan administration system.Development and migration of the system from Dbase to Paradox (my first exposure to Delphi).Development of a Delphi system to replace the Clipper system that was used.Developed a reconciliation tool for the Clipper system.Extensive user support.

Developed a Clipper system that replaced the manual system used by the TPA for expenditures offset against the budget. Developed a Budgeting System to replace the manual system that was used, this ensured a much faster posting of budget figures and Region 9 (now Limpopo Province) was the first province to produce their budget on time. Itemised the expenditure against the budget to produce reports for the central government where again Region 9 was always the first to produce the results. This was a huge system and also the very first system that I wrote (having had no prior programming experience). Helped departments analyse and produce their budgets and figures before these were captured on the system. Reason for leaving: Interest in Programming and very slim chance of this interest being pursued at current employer.
