About Anthony Arguez

I have been a climate scientist with NOAA for 15 years and served as the Project Manager of the 1981-2010 Climate Normals. I have 28 peer-reviewed publications, 15 as lead author. I specialize in climate statistics and project management. My research interests include climate variability and change; statistical climatology; time series analysis and modeling; and climate research applications involving the energy and agriculture industries. I am a recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), which resulted in being congratulated by President Obama in the White House. The White House considers this award to be "the highest honor bestowed by the United States government on outstanding scientists and engineers in the early stages of their independent research careers."
