ABOUT ME My most recent position is Owner of AA Cycle Performance services, I set up my own business working for myself, having managed a bicycle workshop in the heart of York, and been a keen cyclist and competitor in Bicycle Time Trials to a high standard having competed in open time trials best 10 mile time 18:58 also 2nd overall in Yorkshire Cycling Federation Time trial league 2019.My business specialises in all aspects of bicycle maintenance including bicycle wheel repairs and wheel builds prior to this I was Senior Manager working for European Bikes Ltd ( www.bicisymas.co.uk). The business concept was a bicycle shop selling and repairing bikes, my main duty was managing a fully equipped workshop carrying out daily repairs on a wide range of bikes. The bike shop was combined with a vegetarian vegan cafe/barista style coffee,organic wines and artisan Belgium craft beers. This was located in the centre of York. KEY ROLESProficent in cyle repair & servicing, custom builds groupset fit, wheel building , bearing replacement headset/hubs/bottom bracket. Knowledgeable on correct bike fitting principles.I am fully proficient in the use of a cycling specific Epos system supplied by citrus lime, leaders in providing epos systems in the cycling industry. I would carry out inspections on customers bikes (M Checks) to provide the correct level of service required to service or repair bikes, including a quote for labour and parts. I would transfer this info onto an integrated workshop module to create job sheets for mechanics to carry out work.I kept the workshop stocked up with common parts required to carry out service & repair work. I would service and repair bicycles to help the mechanics when needed and buildnew bikes up ready for display in the showroom. I created the purchase orders and ordered the stock from suppliers e.g. Madison, Zyro Fisher, Ison etc. I handled the checking, booking and committing of stock to the epos system and managed the audit and stocktake procedures. I was the main key holder and would also supervise all the cash handling and banking for the business.
