Portfolio Manager/SME owner/Policy and Board Advisor/Social Activist/ sports coachStapleton Capital is a family office and private investment vehicle focusing on European equities with a long/short positioning. The strategy aims to deliver returns by generating alpha from both the long (+) and short (-) side of the portfolio, maximizing idiosyncratic single stock risk, rather than by making macro or factor bets.Prior to being a portfolio manager, I held sales and marketing roles in fund management and brokerage firms. I transitioned into asset management from the “sell side” in 2007 joining ING in the Benelux before moving to Fidelity International in London. I hold the CFA Society’s Investment Management Certificate. I started my career in 2000 in Paris in Equity Sales with what is now BNP Paribas Exane. I am an investor, entrepreneur, and social activist. I have conducted business on behalf of my employers internationally, built an EMEA client base, and lived and worked from the US, France, Benelux, and the UK. I spent a decade till 2022 as a coopted Governor at Shaftesbury Park primary school. I have raised money for good causes by cycling for Blue Marine L2M (2019) and Pilgrim’s Hospice (2023). I have championed 2 women to become and stay Members of Parliament before returning to an apolitical stance several years ago. I read Economics and Finance at l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. I was a member then president for the year of an Ile-de-France apolitical society, la Conférence Olivaint, and was the second non-French national chair. I also graduated from Newcastle University. As a freshman there, I spent my first of books summers with a team of Newcastle undergraduates where after training in Tennessee, our first summer for the Southwestern Company was in Illinois; Southwestern was my first taste of entrepreneurship.
